Innovative Flooring Solutions at St John's School, Preston
Our recent project at St John's School in Preston demonstrates how creative flooring choices can transform educational spaces into vibrant and functional environments. By carefully selecting materials that combine durability, safety, and visual interest, we were able to meet the school’s needs while delivering a modern and engaging aesthetic.
For this project, we used Polyflor Wood Fx in Silver Oak, a luxury vinyl tile known for its realistic wood effect and robust performance. The Silver Oak design brought a sophisticated and natural look to the space, offering the warmth and elegance of wood with the practical benefits of a resilient, easy-to-maintain material.
To add texture and individuality, Interface carpet tiles were installed in selected areas, creating a unique random effect. This innovative approach introduced a playful yet organised element to the design, breaking up the space in a way that fosters creativity and engagement among students. The combination of the sleek wood-look flooring and the dynamic carpet tile pattern resulted in a striking contrast that enhanced the overall appeal of the interiors.
