Project Overview
At Banks Flooring Solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering flooring solutions that balance durability, style, and practicality. Our latest venture took us into the hospitality industry, where we had the privilege of working on Hopton’s Bar, an upscale establishment in Longton. In the hospitality sector, flooring plays a crucial role in setting the ambiance while withstanding high foot traffic. It must be aesthetically pleasing, easy to maintain, and durable enough to prevent wear and tear. Additionally, safety is paramount, requiring flooring solutions that minimise slipping risks and contribute to a quieter, more comfortable environment. Collaborating closely with the client and an interior designer, we selected a combination of Harvey Maria LVT tiles for the bar area and restrooms, and Polyflor Stone Fx in Jurassic Stone for the remainder of the venue. To complete the look, we designed a bespoke entrance mat featuring the bar’s embroidered logo.
Challenges and Considerations
Balancing Durability and Aesthetic Appeal
The flooring had to be both stylish and hard-wearing. In high-traffic areas such as the bar and restrooms, spills and constant movement are inevitable, necessitating surfaces that are easy to clean and maintain.

For the bar area and both male and female restrooms, we selected Harvey Maria LVT tiles. These high-quality luxury vinyl tiles offer an excellent balance of aesthetics and resilience. Their sophisticated designs enhanced the ambiance, while their robust construction ensured easy cleaning and long-term durability in these high-traffic areas.
Polyflor Stone Fx in Jurassic Stone for the Main Venue
To maintain a refined yet practical look across the rest of the venue, we installed Polyflor Stone Fx in Jurassic Stone. This stone-effect flooring provided a timeless appearance, exceptional durability, and ease of maintenance, making it ideal for the hospitality environment.
Bespoke Embroidered Entrance Mat
To top off the project, we crafted a custom entrance mat with the bar’s logo embroidered into the design. This personalised element reinforced the brand identity while serving as a functional addition to trap dirt and moisture at the entrance, keeping the interior cleaner and safer.
